John is an educational strategist and engineer who believes that for education to be effective, it must be as unique as the student it serves. With a career spanning elite French "Grandes Écoles," top-tier American research universities, and executive leadership in the biosciences, John brings a rare level of technical precision and global perspective to the world of personalized learning.
Academic Pedigree & Global Perspectives
John’s pedagogical foundation is built on rigorous scientific inquiry and international excellence. He holds an M.Sc. in Engineering from the École Centrale de Lille and an M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering (Fluid Mechanics & Applied Math) from UC Berkeley.
By blending European academic tradition with American innovation, John provides a roadmap for students who need to perform at the highest levels, regardless of where they are in the world.
Proven Institutional Leadership
Before founding Nomadic Academics, John spent over a decade working in the private sector and instructing at the highest levels:
- Director of Classes Préparatoires Intégrale (Paris): Managed the intensive academic preparation for students entering France’s most competitive higher education institutions.
- University-Level Instruction: Served as a Physics instructor at UC Berkeley Extension and a specialized Math and Physics instructor at Carfax Monaco.
- Systems Excellence: As the former Director of Operations at VxBiosciences, John applies an "engineering mindset" to educational systems, ensuring every hour a student spends studying is optimized for results.

In 2020, John founded Nomadic Academics to solve a specific problem: the modern world has evolved, but the traditional classroom has not. He realized that gifted students, student athletes, and families relocating internationally were being underserved by impersonal, rigid academic structures. John’s vision for Nomadic Academics is built on three pillars:
